Mommy Moments #9: Grandparents Bonding

My little boy is quite lucky to be enjoying time with his Grandparents. I only got to know my paternal Grandma when I was younger. It's just sad that CB didn't get to spend time with my Papa... I'm still thankful though, that he still has Mama Lola, Opa and Nana to shower him with love and guide him in his growing up years.

Here are some photos of my CB with his Grandparents...

He loves playing peek-a-boo and caught him doing it while he and his Dadda were walking infront of me. You can just see his tiny tooth doing a peekaboo too... so cute :)

Mommy Moments #8 - Silly Moments

My mom took these photos when CB was only 1-month old. I call this the many faces of Cheeky Boy. Makes me laugh whenever I see this!

This Yukata is a gift from my sister from her last trip to Japan. CB was only 6 months old in this photo. Konnichi Wa!

When we went to Chelsea in Serendra for my Mom's birthday, CB was given some chocolate biscuits and i guess you can say that he liked it. He ended up having a Hitler-type of moustache, before his Dadda took the biscuit from him!

Wordless Wednesday #6

Every morning, I let CB run around inside our bedroom. One morning, he got hold of my house keys, went straight to our bathroom door and tried to open it using one of the keys! Amazing how he figured out what the key is for and how to use it!

Love my smart boy :)

Kids View on Moms

My hubby and I read this together and we were laughing out loud at the kid's answers. Kids really say the darndest things! I can't wait to hear what my little boy would answer to these questions. This is a nice read to end the day!

Answers given by elementary-school aged children to the following questions:

Why did God make mothers?

1. She’s the only one who knows where the scotch tape is.
2. Mostly to clean the house.
3. To help us out of there when we were getting born.

How did God make mothers?

1. He used dirt, just like for the rest of us.
2. Magic plus super powers and a lot of stirring.
3. God made my mom just the same like he made me. He just used bigger parts.

What ingredients are mothers made of?

1. God makes mothers out of clouds and angel hair and everything nice in the world and one dab of mean.
2. They had to get their start from men’s bones. Then they mostly use string, I think.

Why did God give you your mother and not some other mom?

1. We’re related.
2. God knew she likes me a lot more than other people’s moms like me.

What kind of little girl was your mother?

1. My mom has always been my mom and none of that other stuff.
2. I don’t know because I wasn’t there, but my guess would be pretty bossy.
3. They say she used to be nice.

What did your mother need to know about dad before she married him?

1. His last name.
2. She had to know his background. Like is he a crook? Does he get drunk on beer?
3. Does he make at least $800 a year? Did he say NO to drugs and YES to chores?

Why did your mother marry your dad?

1. My dad makes the best spaghetti in the world. And my mom eats a lot.
2. She got too old to do anything else with him.
3. My grandma says that mom didn’t have her thinking cap on.

Who’s the boss at your house?

1. Mom doesn’t want to be boss, but she has to because Dad’s such a goof ball.
2. Mom. You can tell by room inspection. She sees the stuff under the bed.
3. I guess Mom is, but only because she has a lot more to do than dad.

What’s the difference between mothers and fathers?

1. Moms work at work and work at home. Dads just go to work at work.
2. Moms know how to talk to teachers without scaring them.
3. Dads are taller and stronger, but moms have all the real power ’cause that’s who you got to ask if you want to sleep over at your friend’s.
4. Moms have magic; they make you feel better without medicine.

What does your mother do in her spare time?

1. Moms don’t do spare time.
2. To hear her tell it, she pays bills all day long.

What would it take to make your mother perfect?

1. On the inside she’s already perfect. Outside, I think some kind of plastic surgery.
2. Diet – You know…her hair. Maybe blue.

If you could change one thing about your mother, what would it be?

1. She has this weird thing about me keeping my room clean. I’d get rid of that.
2. I’d make my mom smarter. Then she would know it was my sister who did it and not me.
3. I would like for her to get rid of those invisible eyes on her back.

NOTE: I got this from an email sent by a friend. If you know the author, please let me know, so I can give proper credits.

Happy Mother's Day!

What really is a Mother's worth? Being a Housekeeper with no day off, a Nanny who lives in, works full-time with no breaks and a Guidance Counselor with no handbook included ? Mothers should be worth a million bucks!
But all we really want is - hugs, kisses and unconditional love!

A Tribute to my Mama

(same places in both photos! i'm the one on the right)

Happy Mother's Day to all the hardworking, loving, perservering and most patient people in the world!

I LOVE YOU, MAMA!

Wordless Wednesday #5

Gone For The Weekend - Bohol, Philippines

Hubby and I celebrated our 2nd Wedding Anniversary during a 4-day trip to Bohol. We spent it away from the noise and pollution of the city and also got to spend some "us time" sans baby. Since we took so many photos, I'll do a 3-part post on this trip. I will let our photos do the talking...

We had such a great time that we plan to return with the whole family! It was the perfect getaway with my hubby... Happy Anniversary, Bubba and looking forward to more celebrations in the years to come! I love you very much :)
