A few days after we arrived in Manila, news of the tsunami and earthquake was shown on TV. We were quite fortunate, having left earlier than our planned extended stay. Every morning, I let CB run around inside our bedroom. One morning, he got hold of my house keys, went straight to our bathroom door and tried to open it using one of the keys! Amazing how he figured out what the key is for and how to use it! Love my smart boy :)

My little boy hasn't been admitted to the hospital *thank god!* but he's been taken in several times for check-ups. I just love baking and cooking for my family. Never had complaints yet! My hubby even said I could probably sell the stuff I make, if I wanted to (aww, sweet!). I'm still thinking about that idea, but for now, I'm gonna post one of my fave cake recipes. A Pirate Parrrty!My unico hijo celebrated his 1st birthday last month and today, I got a CD of the party photos from our photographer. We chose to do a Pirate Themed party and I think CB enjoyed himself because he didn't throw a tantrum, cry or fall asleep all throughout the party! *big sigh of relief*Here's some of the photos from that day.
